In Memory of Maxine Christopher
|
|

Maxine Christopher, as a member of Grace Lutheran Church
in River Forest came to be so much a part of what makes
the Ministry happen. Her passing on March 30, 2007 was
an opportunity for us to see how important Grace and the
Ministry were in her life. We felt honored to have had
the Ministry be an expression of her faith in Christ.
The memorial gifts given in her name from friend's and
family were not only deeply appreciated, but allowed for
her legacy to continue after her passing. Thank you
Maxine!

To Whom it May Concern,
The message of Easter is hopeful, as in Isaiah
65 where the prophet speaks of a better time,
when infants don't die, and old folks grow old.
Where people are housed and their gardens are
full of fruit, and the wolf and the lamb sleep
together. WE feel that message strongly, as a
new era begins at the Ministry. A Board
Refocusing Retreat coming up in May, lead by
former Northern Illinois District President Bill
Ameiss is a crucial step to new leadership. The
22nd Annual Hunger Walk will allow us to offset
costs of buying the fresh dairy, eggs, and
produce that many of our clients so desperately
need to overcome illnesses like diabetes and
heart disease. The Ministry Drive Days Picnic
on June 23rd will be a great opportunity for
fellowship, as community members and long time
supporters of the Ministry come together in
celebration of the Ministry's 36th year and to
thank all those congregations involved in our
Drive Days. Please take time to find out more
about these events in this edition of EMUSE and
join in our sense of optimism.
Please Join Us!
